A book about overcoming societal judgment and learning kindness and compassion.

On a family trip to the beach, Billy learns the importance of not judging a book by its cover. Just because everyone around you is afraid doesn’t mean that you can’t overcome those fears. And if you do, you may make an unlikely friend in the process.

There's nothing I love more than a trip to the beach, and I get there as often as possible. The sand, the sun, the sea, and the smell of the salty air are the inspirations for what I write. Whether it be a novel, a short story, or the poems in this book, they all come from the beach. Most of what's in this book was written while sitting in the sand, or on a balcony overlooking the water. With a tequila, Seven, and lime in one hand, and a cigar in the other, these are the things that run through my mind. I hope you enjoy these very short stories that happen to rhyme.
